Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami visited United Kingdom, United States and Dubai for nearly 10 days to bring in foreign investment to Tamil Nadu and his visit turned out to be a great success. After this three nation visit, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy told that the visit had attracted Rs 8,835 crore investment to Tamil Nadu and it would provide job opportunities to more than 35,000 people.
Describing his visit to attract investments as a successful one, he stated that deals have been signed with 41 companies and the government would efficiently provide all support to these companies for starting their operations.
Arriving back to India from Dubai after finish his tour to United Kingdom, U.S.A and the United Arab Emirates, he said that foreign investors had shown investments to invest in various sectors in Tamil Nadu.
“Employment opportunities will be created for more than 35,520 people through the MoUs that are inked with 41 firms and these MoUs attracts a total of Rs 8,835 crore investments (commitments) to Tamil Nadu,” he said after returning back from his foreign tour.
When Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy was in foreign tour, DMK President MK Stalin told that he will honor the Chief Minister with a ceremony if Chief Minster would be able to woo investments to Tamil Nadu. With investments of Rs.8,835 crore signed for Tamil Nadu, it should be seen whether opposition leader MK Stalin honors DMK president for his foreign tour success.
